Making use of the so-called shell space for the completion of the museum concept for the Herrenchiemsee Castle through a subtle planning and coordination for the integration of technical facilities in the historical context and heritage-appropriate upgrading in terms of building physics, fire and burglary protection.
Multifunctional usability of former warehouse areas of the Bavarian Administration of Palaces, Gardens and Lakes in the Castle’s north wing for events, exhibitions, and concerts including necessary cloakrooms, sanitary accommodation and offices.
Provided complete accessibility.

From 2013, the summer exhibitions of the Pinakothek of Modern Art “KÖNIGSKLASSE. Contemporary Art in Herrenchiemsee Castle” are located at this location.
